 Avison Ensemble – 2 new CD releases on sale now!
The Avison Ensemble are delighted to announce two new CD releases:
AVISON: 12 Concerti after Geminiani.
Charles Avison, Britain's greatest 18th century composer, is at last being fully recognised. The Newcastle-based Avison Ensemble, named after him of course, has made a wonderful recording of his 12 concerti after Geminiani (it's the first recording of these fantastic baroque concertos) to be released in October as a 2CD set.

John Garth: Cello Concertos
An almost forgotten figure, English 18th century composer John Garth is about to be the new discovery of 2007! This world premiere recording of his 6 Cello Concertos is an absolute revelation! Perfomed by the Avison Ensemble, with cello soloist Richard Tunicliffe this CD will also be released in October. Over 95 minutes of music for the price of one CD.
