Charles Avison, Britain's greatest 18th century composer, is at last being fully recognised. The Avison Ensemble has launched this wonderful recording of his 12 concerti after Geminiani (it's the first recording of these fantastic baroque concertos) available now as a 2CD set.
Recorded at the Jubilee Theatre, St Nicholas's Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne,
